I have six and a half years of experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and both my undergraduate and graduate degrees are in Applied Behavior Analysis. The best thing about working at Aspire is the team unity and dynamic. Just like a puzzle piece (symbol of Autism), everyone on the team is a working piece to the child’s progress which can be seen as the entire puzzle. Every member is crucial to a child’s progress and success from the direct implementers to teachers and caregivers. That progress, whether small or big, is what keeps me motivated as a BCBA. Another area that I feel is important and is dear to my heart is spreading awareness about ABA treatment for those diagnosed with Autism. For parents, hearing their child is diagnosed with ASD for the first time can be daunting and overwhelming. As a BCBA, I feel gratification when parents notice and observe their child’s progress following the start of ABA treatment and see hope for their child’s development!
