Professional Kansas City ABA Services for Your Child

Aspire Behavioral Solutions

A High Quality Kansas City ABA Treatment Team

Aspire Behavioral Solutions, LLC is an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) provider that meets the needs of young children diagnosed with Autism in the greater Kansas City area. Generally speaking we serve children ages 0-7, with expertise in early childhood development and early intervention treatment. We work with providers outside of Aspire that your child may receive services through as part of an overall treatment team, because collaboration is key to working together for your child’s overall development! Other providers may include other therapies (such as speech language pathology) or other learning environments (such as preschools and schools).

As parents, you are involved in your child’s treatment at Aspire in many important ways. First, you are an important team member in your child’s success. As such, Aspire works diligently to address concerns you have about your child’s needs and success. Parent support at Aspire involves regular meetings to review your child’s progress, training on various ABA strategies that are effective for your child (including modeling and support during times when ABA strategies can be implemented), as well as support at important developmental or behavioral appointments (such as developmental pediatrician or psychologist appointments and school meetings). Additionally, we utilize a practice management web-based program to collect data on your child’s performance that provides you as parents direct access at anytime to your child’s progress, their schedule and other resources. Aspire offers various ABA programs to meet your family and child’s needs including center-based, home-based and community-based ABA. At Aspire we believe that your child’s ABA treatment is of highest importance! Our team of highly qualified professionals endure extensive training and continued oversight to ensure that the best treatment possible is provided for each and every child and family that we work with. Its is our goal that each child reaches their full potential and that parents feel supported by the Aspire team and feel valued as a member of that team! Regular transitions in teaming may be important for your child’s treatment and are recommended by your senior clinician, the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Take a look at the team members that your child might work with to hear about the reasons they are in this field, a little about their experience and why they choose to be a part of the Aspire team!

center based aba services

Aspire offers center-based services (also referred to as clinic services) to all our families, though recommendations on what environments may lead to greatest progress are discussed at assessment and ongoing as your child learns and grows! Aspire has two clinics to serve the Kansas City Metropolitan area! Located close to highway access and other conveniences Aspire has a south clinic (located in Overland Park, KS) and a north clinic (located in Kansas City, MO/Gladstone area). Clinic services provide opportunity for your child to learn in other valuable environments increasing their ability to generalize skill and allows access to treatment when home services aren’t an option. Other benefits to center based services at Aspire include effective environments for the development of preschool readiness (learning preschool routines, responding group instructions, etc.), involvement in group activities, and social and play development.

Home Based ABA Services

High Quality Kansas City Home Based ABA Services

Home based services are offered by Aspire to meet the learning and developmental needs of the children we serve! Additionally, you or your child may find it more comfortable to begin ABA in home or to include home sessions as part of your child’s plan. Likewise, services received at home can provide clinical benefit and your child’s assigned BCBA may make recommendations for some in-home sessions. Home based sessions provide an opportunity to work on skills that are relevant at home in the natural environment (such as toileting, mealtime, communication, play, etc.) as well as more opportunity for you as parents to see how ABA works, by providing models for responding to your child effectively when teaching them skills or in challenging situations. Ultimately you will work with your BCBA to determine what environments are going to best meet your child’s needs at this time (those needs will change over time as your child learns and develops and your BCBA will continue to monitor, assess and provide recommendations) and work out a plan together for session locations.

Community Based ABA Services

High Quality Kansas City Community Based ABA Services

Aspire provides ABA services in community locations as well! Generally speaking the most common community based service is in preschools. Partnerships with local preschools to provide practice of skill in typical learning environments is an important component to ABA early intervention treatment. It is Aspire’s mission to ensure your child’s future success as a learner. Often times learning in center or learning in home exclusively doesn’t set up our children for success when transitioning to that most typical learning environment in our child’s future, school. Therefore, prior to completing ABA services with Aspire we want to assess your child’s ability to transition into other, more typical, learning environments while maintaining success and going with your child to preschool is often how we accomplish this! Through this process we help your child to learn from others and can systematically fade ABA supports; allowing your child to be successful independent of ABA services.

Other community based services offered by Aspire involve going into the community (grocery stores, restaurants, etc.) to help your child learn and practice skills that are important in those environments and that lead to overall quality family interactions.
