I started working in ABA in March of 2016 in the Portland, Oregon area. I have worked with children between the ages of 2 and 8 as a behavior technician and also have previous experience in community-based nonprofits in the areas of youth development and mental health. I am currently working toward my Master’s in Applied Behavioral Analysis.
I chose Aspire to continue my journey because of the organization’s philosophy, approach to treatment, and goals for those they serve. The Aspire team from the owner to other members of the leadership and training team are encouraging, supportive, dedicated and inspiring. It has been so incredibly rewarding to be a part of this team; hands-down the best team I have ever been on. At Aspire we are truly family, caring for and supporting children, families, and each other.
I love working with and seeing how supportive and dedicated the families of the children I work with are and I love knowing we are making a difference every day! I think my favorite part of being an RBT is watching a child really get something for the first time. That “aha!” moment, when their faces light up and whole new possibilities open up for them. This motivates me to be the very best I can be to help them have more of those moments.
