ABS offers individualized programming to meet more specific needs of our clients. Occasionally, individuals may have behavioral challenges or deficits in a specific area. ABS can provide a targeted intervention to assist with this circumstance. Some children struggle with potty training, feeding, sleeping through the night, or other specific challenges, but may not need the same level of on-going intensity that our in-home early intervention program provides. ABS can develop and implement a comprehensive and effective intervention aimed at addressing these specific behavioral needs. When appropriate, parents and other team members (siblings, friends, school personnel, etc.) will be provided training on the intervention to ensure its continued success. This includes an analysis and consideration of resources available to the child/family/agency/school so as to appropriately plan the intervention and a fade from this more focused support so that the recipient can continue to benefit and maintain success long term.
