Lydia Jennings

Lydia is the owner of Aspire Behavioral Solutions. Lydia received her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Trinity University in Chicago and her Master’s degree in psychology from California State University. With 14 years experience and training within the field of behavior analysis, she has worked with diverse populations within many different settings while providing various behavioral treatments. These include skill acquisition programming, interventions for the reduction of challenging behavior, one-on-one parent and staff training, group presentations and workshops, crisis intervention services, feeding interventions, school and agency consultation, social skills training, and other individually tailored interventions and services. Aside from general autism treatment, Lydia specializes in the development and implementation of training packages for staff and parents. While in the field she participated in group parent training research and has created and led many parent and staff trainings for clinics, schools, and agencies. As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBAs), Lydia has a passion for understanding behavior and is dedicated to sharing that understanding with others. Her growing enthusiasm for helping others to reach their full potential is the foundation on which Aspire Behavioral Solutions was created.

Amel

Amel is a doctoral student at the University of Kansas and a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg and his Master’s degree from the University of Kansas. During his time at the KU, Amel has been productive in the Applied Behavioral Economics Laboratory where he investigated a variety of topics ranging from the representation of behavior analysis in the public domain to research on risky behavior. He is also very passionate about teaching. His long-term goal is to secure a position at a research university. In his free time, Amel likes to relax and enjoys hanging out with friends and discussing pretty much all things related to the science of behavior. He also loves seeing his kids make progress and entertaining them with train and helicopter noises!

Kelsey

Kelsey is a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Applied Behavioral Science. She was introduced to working with individuals who have special needs in 2007 through Blue Valley West High School’s “Peer Tutoring” class, which she stayed involved in throughout her high school career and where her passion for special education began. After graduating from the University of Kansas in 2016 Kelsey obtained her RBT credential and worked in local center-based ABA programs with children diagnosed with Autism prior to joining Aspire. She plans to further her education in ABA by obtaining a Master’s degree and working towards becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). She is very excited to be part of the Aspire team and loves seeing the progress each child makes while in services!

Paola

Paola is a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and has been working in the field since she was in her undergraduate program at the University of Kansas in 2016! She graduated from KU with a bachelors in Applied Behavioral Science specializing in early childhood autism intervention and a minor in Spanish. She fell in love with the field when she did her practicum through Little Steps: Kansas Early Autism Program. She loves and feels so grateful that she gets to be part of each child’s journey and seeing them make progress gives her so much joy! When she’s not working, Paola loves spending time with her family, getting crafty and shopping! 

Carley

Carley is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) from Wellington, KS and has been working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) since 2009. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Behavioral Science from the University of Kansas and a Masters Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Ball State University. Carley enjoys spending time with her daughter, yoga, listening to live music, and being outdoors. Her favorite parts of ABA are teaching functional communication in a fun and meaningful way and expanding others knowledge on positive reinforcement.

Alexandra

Alex graduated from Missouri State with a degree in child development and a minor in psychology. She’s worked with children in a variety of settings and loves being able to make them laugh and watch them grow and develop! She enjoys reading, hanging out with her niece and nephews and doing just about anything outside!

Bethany

Bethany is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) from New Jersey and has been working in the field since 2005. She enjoys spending time with her daughters and husband, they enjoy exploring Kansas City, gardening, and competitive games (such as dungeons and dragons). Bethany has experience in homes, clinics, schools and with children of all ages. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, a Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and is pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. Bethany’s favorite part about ABA is the positive experience that comes from the whole team working together.

Misty

Misty is a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and has been in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) since 2017. She is currently working on her Bachelors degree in General Studies with a concentration in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Psychology. She is interested in pursuing her Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis after she graduates in the Spring of 2020. Misty has worked as a para educator in schools and has implemented ABA principles in various environments; including schools, clinics, and in home. Misty loves working with children and families! She enjoys watching all of the progress that each child makes with ABA intervention! In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her children and friends. She loves BBQs, painting, music, and traveling to new destinations.

Hailie

Hailie is a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and has been in the field since 2016! She enjoys spending time with her son and being outside and active. Health, nutrition, and her son are very important to her. Hailie has a Master’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Central Missouri. She discovered Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) after her graduation and fell in love with seeing the progress that ABA helped her clients achieved and knows that this is the right path for her. Hailie loves providing social reinforcement, playing, and staying active with her clients. In the future, Hailie sees herself becoming a BCBA and continuing to change the lives of kiddos and their families.

Alexis

Alexis is a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who has her Bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Development from the University of Central Missouri and is pursuing a Masters Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. She worked 4 years at a children’s psychiatric hospital helping kids with behavioral challenges before joining Aspire in 2017. This is where she developed a love and passion for working with kids diagnosed with autism. She loves working with kids and watching them as they grow and learn new things, she feels Aspire is the perfect place for that! In her free time, Alexis enjoys spending time outdoors and going to her local farmer’s market.

Laken

Laken is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) from South Dakota. She started in this field in 2013 and from the stat knew this was going to be her lifelong dream job! She loves seeing her kids make progress and expand their skills and knowledge. Laken has had a variety of experiences working in school districts, group homes, client homes, and centers. Laken has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Foundations of Behavior Analysis. She enjoys spending time with her two dogs, learning more about Applied Behavior Analysis, and spending time exploring Kansas City.

Kristie

Kristie is a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), she was first introduced to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) while working at a preschool in New York. She has been in the field since 2010 and has worked in various settings including; clinic, in-home, school, and other community settings. Kristie is pursuing her Master’s Degree in Special Education with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis. Following the completion of her Master’s Degree, she would like to pursue a career as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). When she’s not working with kids at Aspire she loves spending time with her husband and spending time outside.

Vivian

Vivian is a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and has been in the field since 2013. Vivian has a Master’s Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and plans to sit for her BCBA exam in the near future. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults with severe behavior and early intervention. Her favorite part about ABA is seeing the progress her client’s make! Vivian enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her dog in her free time.

Catherine

Catherine is a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) from Columbia, Missouri, she has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with an emphasis in Special Education and a Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. She started working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in 2014. Catherine has worked in homes, clinics, and schools providing support to children of varying ages diagnosed on with Autism. Her passion is seeing the progress her clients are making!

Andrea

Andrea is a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who has been working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) since 2014. During Andrea’s time in the field she has experience working with all ages, in home and in a clinic setting. She has truly found her passion! She has a daughter and son that she loves spending time with! When she’s not spending time with her family or working, she enjoys going to the gym. Andrea’s favorite thing about ABA is working closely with the kids and their families and seeing them progress!

JaShawn

JaShawn Walker is a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and has been in the field since 2017! She graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor’s in Applied Behavior Science and a minor in Psychology. In her free time you can catch her dancing, teaching dance classes, and choreographing dances!

Taylor

Taylor is a treatment implementer currently pursuing a degree in Psychology. She has extensive experience working with kids and tutoring in special need classes. Her favorite part about ABA is seeing her client’s skills grow and develop their own personalities! In her spare time she enjoys going to sporting events, spending time with her daughter, and being adventurous and trying new things.

Krista

Krista is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in child and family development, with a certificate in forensic child psychology. She plans to continue her education in clinical psychology or Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). She’s been working with kids for the past 4 years and has spent time in many environments. She developed a passion for ABA while working in a research lab and working with kids. Krista’s favorite part about the field is getting to witness and contribute to children’s achievements first hand. She loves getting to see their sweet smiles and love on them every day! When she’s not at Aspire she enjoys spending time with her family and puppy!

Kayla

Kayla is a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and a minor in Applied Behavior Science. She’s been in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) since 2018, and has worked with children in various settings. Her favorite part about the field is seeing her clients’ skills generalize to other environments! In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her three dogs and her cat, being outdoors, and volunteering at local shelters!

Madison

Madison Burnett is a BCBA from Liberty, MO. She has a bachelor’s degree from Truman University in Communication Disorders, a Master’s degree from Lindenwood University in Early Intervention in Autism and Sensory Impairment, and an Education Specialist degree from Lindenwood University in Behavior Analysis. She has worked with individuals diagnosed with Autism from ages 2-57 in residential, in-home, and clinic settings. She enjoys watching movies, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with her husband and 2 dogs.

DeeDee

DeeDee is a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who holds a Bachelors Degree in psychology at Missouri Western State University. During her time at MWSU she volunteered at a safe shelter for children with families facing crisis. She has also worked with individuals of all ages to cope with trauma and behavioral issues. DeeDee started in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis in 2019 with a fire in her heart to help those with different abilities at Aspire! Deedee enjoys investing her time teaching children to improve their quality of life and create a brighter future for themselves!
